When I needed to buy a home, I knew that I didn’t want a ‘fixer-upper’ – rather a low maintenance one in move-in condition – in other words, a worry-free one. This meant finding a quality house and a reputable builder. Frank Porcari’s home in Shadow Ridge was one of the first I saw. And after looking at several others, I quickly returned to Frank’s because it clearly represented high-quality… and by far the best value for my money. Built by Frank’s company, Ottawa Carleton Construction, it was obvious the other houses I’d seen simply didn’t compare with OCC’s custom‑built quality standard. It was also located in a great neighborhood, which, as the single Mom of a six-year-old son, was very important to me. As a working Mom I don’t have the luxury of time – or in my case, the ability – for fixing or repairing things, and as with all new homes, there have been a few little things that have needed attention. Whenever I’ve called Frank, he’s always called me right back and has taken care of things within a day or two. He has even taken care of things that weren’t his responsibility – but were part of the home he sold me. This tells me Frank is clearly vested in the houses he builds. I was looking for a new home, but couldn’t find anything that pique’d my interest. In most cases the prices builders were asking seemed way too high compared to the value they were actually offering. At a friend’s suggestion I contacted Frank Porcari at Ottawa Carleton Construction, and he suggested we look for a piece of land we liked and then call him back.  We did just that, so we called Frank, who came out for a look… and with his feedback, we bought it.
